Geelong coach Mark Thompson quits

Geelong coach Mark Thompson has today announced his resignation as Geelong coach. The question isn't whether or not he will coach another club, he will most likely not coach at all.

He told the press that he got tired of coaching and didn't want to coach anymore. I think this is the start of a huge downfall and not only club morale but performance on the field will be effected by all these changes that have arisen at the club.

Geelong has now lost a premiership player (Gary Ablett) and a premiership coach in Mark Thompson. However the club is trying to stay positive, telling the press that it is the start of a new era in Geelong.
