Two horses scratched from Caulfield Cup

Master O'Reilly is the second horse to be scratched from Saturday's Caulfield Cup.  The horse suffered a bout of colic and was forced out by his trainer. The first horse to be pulled today was Rosehill Guineas winner Zabrasive.

Master O'Reilly would have been running in his fourth consecutive Caulfield Cup. He is best remembered for his 2007 Caulfield Cup victory when favourite Maldivian injured himself in the barriers.

I don't think O'Reilly would have won the race anyway. He has lacked form and in treacherous weather he would have had no hope.
