Europe win back Ryder Cup

Europe has reclaimed golf's prestigious Ryder Cup after they won 14 and 1/2  to 13 and 1/2.

It was the closest Ryder Cup since 1999 and it all came down to the last match up, McDowell v Mahan. The Northern Irishman was up by three points with seven holes left to play but consecutive errant shots put Mahan back in the race. But McDowell stunned us all by sinking a 15 foot putt on hole number 16. When Mahan struggled on the 17th, Europe had the win wrapped up and McDowell finished strong to reclaim the Ryder Cup for Europe. It was their first win since back in 2006 when they smashed the Americans 9 and 1/2 to 18 and 1/2.

I think that this was a great learning curve for the Americans, Tiger Woods is starting to play a lot better and showed signs of his past magic.
