A man in China has made an extraordinary rescue of a woman who tried to commit suicide after her boyfriend called off their wedding.
The incident took place yesterday in north-east China.
The man, a worker at the building, held the 22-year-old woman after she tried jumping out of a window of a seventh-floor building.
The bride, a college student named Miss Li, cut her wrists and tried to commit suicide after her boyfriend broke up with her just before their planned marriage.
Reuters reported that the woman lived on the fourth floor of the building but made her way to another apartment upstairs.
